Course Overview
Commercial Pilot License is a course for a licence certification for pilots and there are 3 stages when it comes to flying an Aircraft in India.
- Student Pilot’s Licence - You must be minimum 16 years of age with minimum qualification of class 10 from a recognized board.
- Private Pilot Licence - If you looking to learn hobby flying then PPL is for you. The get the PPL an individual needs to clear 3 DGCA exams (PPLG, PPLT & PPL Aircraft Specific) & needs to complete minimum 40 hours of flying to apply for a private pilot licence to DGCA.
- Commercial Pilot Licence - For commercial pilot licence an individual should be minimum 18 years of age, have a minimum qualification 10+2 in science stream with physics & mathematics, needs to complete a minimum of 200 hours of flying training and clear 5 DGCA Exams (subjects mentioned below) to apply for a commercial pilot licence to DGCA.
- For Indian CPL : 5 Exams
- For Foreign CPL : 3 Exams (if not common wealth country then 4 exams)
- Commercial pilot licence enables an individual to apply for jobs in scheduled & non-scheduled airlines & other aviation jobs.
